ABOUT THE AUTHOR
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
HEY, I’M EMAN.
As a teenager I was insecure, jealous, emotionally unstable, confused and constantly stressed. I was living in a family home that valued conformity and turned a blind eye to most issues, which negatively impacted my emotional, mental and spiritual health.
I was using Twitter to cope with my anger and frustration, regularly taking out my own internal struggles in the form of criticism, hate and disrespect. Then I got banned for the third time on Twitter (at the time you could simply make a new account because they didn't track IP addresses yet) and as I was signing up for a new account I thought "wow, I should really get a life." That's when I chose the username "EMANGETALIFE" and it stuck with me even after I deactivated my account (I never went back to Twitter again!)
Since then I:
Started baking and decorating cakes as a hobby
Learned how to draw digitally and started selling T-Shirts and phone cases
Started freelancing my graphic design services such as web design, logo design, branding, illustrations, posters and more
Hosted a paint-and-sip class with over 20 attendees
Built a network on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn with a total combined audience of 100K
Operated a social media marketing agency for several years
Moved to New York City and started making music
Moved to Mexico a year and a half later, where I'm currently publishing this book from
Performed live several times, including once in Canada, five times in New York, and once in Mexico
So that's some background on the reason why I wrote "Girl, Get A Life" - and now I'm ready to share it with you!!
